A Look at The Exterior
Both the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer use the same high-strength steel safety cage and body, making the size and capacity identical. However, when you evaluate the trim packages and the appearance features, the Grand Wagoneer offers many exclusive features and upgrades.One of the most glaring distinctions between the two vehicles is that the Wagoneer is offered only in a silver exterior. But the Grand Wagoneer comes in a vivid trio of colors including, Midnight Sky Blue, Rocky Mountain Green, and Ember Red. Other exterior upgrades included on the grand model include added chrome, more accentuated LED lights, an upgraded hood, and more prominent fender flares. Both vehicles offer a range of wheel options from 18 inches to 22 inches. And retractable running boards are an option for the Wagoneer but are included in the standard equipment package for the Grand Wagoneer.
The Power Comparison
Both Wagoneer SUVs include a V-8 engine and automatic eight-speed transmission as part of the generous standard equipment package. The Wagoneer comes with a 5.7L engine with cylinder deactivation and 48-volt hybrid assist feature. This standard equipment delivers 392 horsepower and 404 foot-pounds of torque. This rear-wheel-drive SUV is rated to tow up to 10,000 pounds when properly equipped.The Grand gets a larger engine at 6.4L V-8 with a ground-pounding 471 horsepower and 455 foot-pounds of torque. It also includes the same cylinder deactivation. This more robust model is a four-wheel-drive but can go 0 to 60 in only six seconds.

The interior of the Grand Wagoneer is more lavish and opulent. The trims are higher end, and the dash layout offers a more sophisticated appearance.
